Triathlon Career:  First triathlon was in 1999...  Began racing regularly in 2000...  Immediately raced in the open/elite divisions with many top 10 finishes...  Highlight of amateur career was a 6th place overall finish at the 2001 Mrs. T's Chicago Triathlon (Worlds Largest Triathlon)...  Turned Pro in 2002...  In 2004, was a member of the Next Step to Gold Triathlon Development Team...  Went on a two year hiatus and is back to kick some tail in 07'.
 

Athletic Background:  Began swimming competitive at age 9...  Qualified unexpectedly for his first Junior Nationals in the 200 Backstroke at age 15...  Competed at the Florida High School State Championship all four years...  His senior year best State finishes were 4th in the 100 Freestyle and 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley...  Also ran Cross Country his senior year just because he could run faster than his swimming teamates...  Wound up making the All Metro Conference Team and ran a 16 mid 5k...  Went to Florida State University where he was a four year letterman in swimming...  Was often used as a utility man in the dual meets because of his versatility in many events...  At the ACC Championships he competed in the 200 Backstoke, 200 and 400 I.M.'s.
 

Personal:  Kevin Alan Rowley... Born July 2, 1976 in Joliet, Illinois...  Parents John and Juanita, moved to Orlando, FL when he was a year old... Has 3 older brothers Mike, Jim and Paul...  Uncle to 3 nieces (Shana, Ashley, and Grace) and 2 nephews (Jacob and Brandon)...  He is a die hard Seminole and Swiminole and loves going to the Florida State Football games... Also he likes to snowboard and surf when he gets the chance.
